Loosely drawing characters/environment, trying to figure out where the focal point should be. Then I fix the rough sketch by correcting the composition, scale, and basic structure of the characters and environment. Once everything is in place and looks clear I start drawing smooth lines on top of the sketch that’s acting as a guide line. Then I add 50 to 100+ layers in Photoshop to decide what color palette I should go with. And once I’m done with it I choose a light source.
