We got in touch with Steve, the author of the series, to ask some questions about his work. Firstly, we wanted to find out what inspired him to create his own comic strip. The artist said: “I’ve always been a doodler, but I think it was in middle school that I first tried drawing comics. Once I made friends laugh with them, I was hooked. For years, I really wanted to do a daily newspaper strip, but it never really worked out. Between the necessities of life and struggles with ADHD, I’ve always struggled to make money from my art. These days, I mostly do it for the love of comics and to meet fellow cartoonists. Of course, the dream is still to be able to do it full-time, but I’m grateful anytime a little extra money comes my way from these silly drawings. I’ve been drawing my comic Murdercake (in the slow process of being renamed Skull Pizza) for about 11 years without being on anyone’s radar, so it’s gratifying to see people starting to notice my work.” More info: Instagram | Facebook | twitter.com | patreon.com Follow Bored Panda on Google News!
