On the final day of Milan Fashion Week’s AW24 edition, Swedish fashion brand AVAVAV’s runway show plunged into disorder as onlookers began throwing trash at the models who walked. The garbage reportedly included scrunched-up wrappers, banana skins, crushed cans, and actual eggs.

A number of the show’s cast members reportedly confirmed that they had been briefed during the casting on what would happen during the show, and they willingly agreed to take part.

Eventually, other people in the front row also got involved, and by the end of the show, the catwalk was reportedly completely covered in trash. Pictures taken from the event showed models splattered with canned tomatoes, mustard, and raw egg. Beate wasn’t spared, as the designer didn’t make a clean exit. Stepping out from backstage to take her bow, a member of her team reportedly rushed towards her and smashed a family-sized pie in her face.
