Catherine Lockhart shared the question to ask at job interviews for her “corporate girlies” which she claimed always got the job in the bag. Taking to her TikTok page followed by 165,000 people earlier this month, Catherine, who has worked at Deloitte and Salesforce, urged people to ask potential employers: “What does excellence look like in this role?” She explained: “It gives the interviewer an opportunity to explain a little bit more about the day-to-day functions of the role.

Glassdoor is a website that provides a platform for employees and former employees to anonymously review companies and their management. Catherine claimed that by using Glassdoor, as well as “stalking” a potential employer’s LinkedIn or other social media profiles, you should be well-prepared for your professional meeting.

The Harvard Business Review recommended a handful of questions to ask during a job interview, such as: “What are the most immediate projects that I would take on?” and “What are the biggest challenges that I might face in this position?” Meanwhile, HR expert Natalie Fisher told CNBC that the “number one” question you should “always” ask at job interviews was the following: “If the new hire was to achieve one thing that would blow your mind, what would it be?”
