Some felt that she might have had a crush on the man and was trying to wedge a gap between him and his partner. Others thought that she may be spending too much time online and have developed a warped idea of certain social issues. When it comes to situations like this, The Guardian put it most succinctly, stating, “for the most part, the anti-age gap sentiment comes from a sincere desire to safeguard vulnerable people. But, however well-intentioned, it often tips over into an ugly puritanism.” Who knows, maybe the woman did have her coworker’s best intentions at heart.
