Luckily, Dora’s story took a heartwarming turn when she was taken into the care of the One Tail at a Time organization in Chicago

We accomplish this by rescuing animals from overcrowded shelters, placing them in loving forever homes and providing support and resources to pet owners in need,” the organization writes on its website.
They put her in a foster family, and there Dora learned to trust people, handle the outdoors, and all the things a good dog should know

Before that, she was only identified by a number tattooed in her ear. She had to figure out how to go up and down stairs because she never had to before. For a lab dog who spent her whole life indoors, new things like stairs was pretty scary. Luckily, Dora’s temporary caretaker was really helpful in making her feel better and do well. Then, someone else took Dora to get spayed, but they got attached to her and decided to keep her forever because they fell in love with her.

Now, you can see how she’s genuinely comfortable, just enjoying cozy cuddles and living her happiest life.
