Who knew someone’s family jewels had the ability to overshadow the Sun and the Moon? In a hilarious and highly inappropriate mistake or cleverly planted dirty prank (it is still yet to be clarified), a pair of testicles was shown on Mexico‘s RCG Media on Monday (April 8). As news anchors were commenting just as the 2024 North American solar eclipse entered totality, the situation became totally nuts (literally) when they cut to a different angle of a bright light, presumably the Sun. Footage that has been circulating on social media shows the mystery person’s crown jewels, giving viewers a brief yet up-close look at the intimate body anatomy.

RCG Media has since approached the whole situation with humor, posting the daring clip on their official X page (formerly known as Twitter), asking their viewers: “How did you see the eclipse? Ours was [two egg emojis].” The Mexican media had asked viewers to send in personal eclipse footage, which, in hindsight, was a very risky idea, TMZ reported.

Theories quickly began to spread that the man’s goods belonged to none other than Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee. The 61-year-old rockstar posted and deleted an eerily similar eclipse re-creation with his testicles, which might have, somehow, leaked into the RCG control room, TMZ reported.

As a result, the culprit is yet to be caught. More than 30 million people were able to see the eclipse’s path of totality on Monday, making it a pretty unique event. Those on the path of totality were mainly in the US states of Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, and Maine.
